Description
Community wildlife garden managed by volunteers
The Phoenix Garden is a community garden located behind the Phoenix Theatre, not far from the Soho and Covent Garden. Interestingly, this is a dry garden: everything is plated on a thin layer of soil, on top of rubble filled cellars. There's no need to water the garden, as the soil drains freely.
Still, the plants don't look parched: everything is fresh, green, reminding of a secret garden. It is a great space to come with your family and enjoy a picnic surrounded by nature. This environment welcomes birds and insects, and even the West End’s only frogs. The Phoenix Garden is available for hire, for many purposes, from private parties, to wedding photography, and even corporate events.
