Grade II listed windmill
The Wimbledon Windmill is the main landmark of the Wimbledon Common.It was built as a hollow post mill in 1817 by Charles March. From 1893 on, several major repairs were carried out, some which changed the original appearance of this historic landmark.
The Wimbledon Windmill is home to the Windmill Museum, which opened in 1976, showcasing mainly models of different types of windmills and machinery. There is also an extensive collection of woodworking tools.
