Description

Opened in 1844, Trafalgar Square is an iconic hub in the centre of London. From Christmas celebrations and communal open-air cinema to political rallies and marches, the square sees hundreds of thousands of revellers each year. At the heart of the Square is Nelson's Column, a 52 metre tall monument, guarded by four bronze lion statues. Surrounding the Square are the splendour of the National Gallery and the church of St Martin-in-the-Fields.
