The House of Commons and House of Lords at the Westminster Palace
The two Houses of the Parliament of the United Kingdom -- the House of Lords and the House of Commons -- are set in the impressive Westminster Palace, that lies on the north bank of the Thames. The place is UNESCO World Heritage Site and it is one of the most visited tourist attractions in London.
The Houses of Parliament Westminster Palace can be visited by tourists during a two-month period during the summer when Parliament is not sitting. Tours are available for both both UK residents and overseas visitors.
