Beautiful Royal Park with the famous Royal Observatory

The Greenwich Park is one of the eight Royal Parks of London, and among the most famous of all internationally, as the site of the Greenwich Royal Observatory. The park hosts the Prime Meridian Line, and is the site that gives its name to the Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).

The Greenwich Park offers excellent facilities for families to enjoy a great day outdoors: a Pavilion Tea House, with beautiful gardens, serving food and drinks; the Cow and Coffee Bean ice cream shop and cafe; the Honest Sausage with free range sausages and bacon in organic bread, and fair trade coffees; and the Observatory Cafe. On the mound in Greenwich Park you will find some ruins attesting the Roman presence on this site. Don't miss the Queen's Orchard for a romantic escape. Kiddies will enjoy the playground. Other attractions include a cricket pitch, the 'Queens Oak', tennis courts, cycle routes, and more.
