Description

Upon entering London from the west, visitors were once met by the iconic 'No 1 London' building, housing a range of displays and artifacts related to the Duke of Wellington, famous for his victory over Napoleon Bonaparte at Waterloo. The basement gallery was brimming with Wellington memorabilia, including his death mask, while the 1st-floor Waterloo Gallery was home to an incredible array of china and silver and an unparalleled selection of masterpieces by Velasquez, Rubens, Van Dyck, Brueghel, Murillo and Goya.
