Description
In this Harris Tweed bag workshop in Covent Garden you leave with a handbag you assembled yourself. Within a 90-minute session you design an Islander Mini Satchel from scratch: pick the colour of the body, then the Harris Tweed cloth for the lid, the front straps, the handle and the long strap. Go bold or keep it classic.
Once your parts are laid out, the host walks the group through each stage of putting the bag together, using the tools provided, with a friendly teacher at hand. The finished satchel measures 20.5 cm by 14 cm by 9 cm, and it is made in Scotland from Harris Tweed. The materials and the bag itself are part of the experience. Larger bag styles are on offer if you want to upgrade, paid for in the shop, and extra components can be bought to change the look.
