Description

The Wallace Collection, arguably London’s most exquisite small-scale gallery, is a captivating insight into 18th century aristocratic life. Located in a lushly revamped Italianate mansion, the museum features a trove of 17th and 18th-century works of art, porcelain, artifacts, and furniture handpicked by generations of the same family and donated to the nation by the widow of Sir Richard Wallace (1818-1890) with the provision that it remain displayed in the same fashion.
