Description

Scenic river and biking trails

The River Wandle is a 14 km water stretch that runs through southwest London, passing through Croydon, Sutton, Merton, and Wandsworth. It was once one of the most polluted rivers in England, but today, it is a Local Nature Reserve.

Along the River Wandle, running for all its length, you will find the Wandle Trail, with walking and cycling routes, where you can admire local heritage, flora and fauna. Part of the cycle route here is the National Cycle Network Route 20.
