John Nash had a vision for Regent Street and Piccadilly to be the two most exquisite streets in London in the 1820s; however, he was limited in his ability to fulfill this dream by the city planners of the time. If he were to visit Piccadilly Circus today, he would be both disappointed and amazed. It is now a chaotic intersection, filled with people and illuminated by bright-lighting advertisements.
