Description

A beautiful park, home of a beautiful mansion

To visit Osterley Park the mansion you need to head over to Osterley Park the park, in the London Borough of Hounslow. The original Osterley Park was a manor house built for Sir Thomas Gresham in the 1570s. The manor was restored 200 years later by Sir Francis Child, under the direct supervision of designer Robert Adam.

For its beauty, and scenic location, the Osterley Park mansion was the set for the 1960 film _The Grass Is Greener_, starring Cary Grant, Deborah Kerr and Robert Mitchum. It was also featured in the 2009 film The Young Victoria starring Emily Blunt and Rupert Friend (in the Buckingham Palace scenes).
