Description

Take a journey through the ages with a visit to the Natural History Museum, a stunning collection of architecture and exhibits that are sure to mesmerize both kids and adults alike. The Dinosaurs Gallery in the Blue Zone is a must-see for those traveling with children, packed with tiny fossils and a colossal triceratops skull, topped off with a thunderous animatronic T-Rex. For a more scientific experience, the Treasures exhibition in the Cadogan Gallery (Green Zone) displays a variety of objects ranging from a chunk of moon rock to a dodo skeleton, while the Mineral Gallery showcases an awe-inspiring array of architectural perspectives leading to the Vault, housing the Aurora Collection of colored diamonds. In the Orange Zone, the Darwin Centre offers a 28 million insect and 6 million plant showcase in a giant cocoon, while in the Red Zone, travelers can learn all about Earth and the natural forces that have shaped it. At the center of the museum lies the grand Hintze Hall, home to a blue whale skeleton in a dramatic diving posture, which replaced the famous Dippy in 2017. To further enhance your experience, the Wildlife Garden (April to November) and an ice rink (Halloween to January) are also available for seasonal visits.
