The London Millennium Footbridge

The Millennium Bridge (also known as The London Millennium Footbridge) is a pedestrian-only suspension bridge crossing the River Thames between Southwark Bridge and Blackfriars Railway Bridge. The bridge was opened on 10 June 2000, but closed for repairs two days after.

The reason was that participants in a special event to open the bridge felt an unexpected swaying motion. Londoners nicknamed the Millennium Bridge "Wobbly Bridge" for this reason, and the bridge stayed closed for repairs two more years. Like many other London venues, the Millennium Bridge is featured in the film adaption of _Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince_, and it is a must in such tours.
