One of the busiest airports in the world, London Heathrow Airport (IATA: LHR, ICAO: EGLL), one of seven airports serving the London area, together with Biggin Hill, Gatwick, Stansted, Luton, Southend and City.

London Heathrow Airport is the primary hub of British Airways, and is also used by over 90 airlines flying to 170 destinations worldwide. It handles over 69 million passengers annually. It has 5 terminals, of which Terminal 5 is the most interesting for shoppers, with more than 100 shops and restaurants. Terminal 2, which reopens November 2013, will offer a selection of 52 shops and 17 bars and restaurants. The airport is connected to London and other nearby destinations by train and shuttles. Heathrow Express takes passengers directly to London's Paddington station every 15 minutes. Passengers also have access to the London Underground Piccadilly line. Buses connect the airport with numerous destinations, including West Country, South Wales, Midlands, the North of England and the south coast of England.
