Description
The Lion King London tickets put you in a reserved seat at the Lyceum Theatre for one of the West End's longest-running musicals, on stage since 1999. The story follows the young cub Simba as he grows up, finds his courage and returns to take his place as king of the Pridelands.
Much of the show's identity comes from the staging of Julie Taymor, who reimagined the Disney film for the theatre. A cast of 50 performers and more than 100 people backstage bring it to life, with over 232 puppets in rod, shadow and full-size forms. The masks and puppets took more than 37,000 hours to make.
- the songs Circle of Life and Hakuna Matata
- puppets, masks and colour that turn the stage into the African savannah
The performance lasts about two and a half hours and suits adults and families alike. Children under 3, babies in arms included, are not admitted, and anyone aged 16 or under must be with an adult. Everyone needs their own ticket, and latecomers may have to wait until a break to go in. Food, drink and travel to the theatre are not included.
