Description
The Mamma Mia The Party dinner show in London is built as a Greek taverna: Nikos Taverna on the Greek island of Skopelos, the setting of the first Mamma Mia film. You sit down for a meal while a new story, adapted by comedian Sandi Toksvig, is performed all around you.
The story follows Nikos, Kate, Adam and Konstantina through the life of the family-run taverna, set to ABBA's music. You do not have to leave your seat to follow it, although you are free to get up. When the show ends, the evening turns into an ABBA disco.
- Welcome drink
- Mezze to share, then a Greek salad with spanakopita
- Braised lamb stifado and slow-cooked beef, with garlic-roasted potatoes and vegetable briam
- Dessert trio, with tea or coffee and apricot baklava
Vegetarian and vegan guests get their own dishes, including a potato and aubergine moussaka, and dietary needs and allergies are catered for once you get in touch after booking. Tickets come in three seating categories across the taverna's courtyard, terraces and balconies, and Category 1 has a restricted view because of support pillars and parts of the set. Drinks other than the welcome drink are extra, and there is a cloakroom. The evening lasts about four hours and is not suitable for children under six.
