Description

A Churchill War Rooms ticket with audio guide takes you down into the bunker of the Second World War, then on to 15 points of interest in political London on a self-guided audio walk.

With a Churchill War Rooms ticket and audio guide you walk through the underground complex where Winston Churchill and his military leaders planned the war. The audio guide, offered in eight languages, explains each room and shares personal accounts of daily life in the bunker during the Blitz.

  • The Cabinet War Rooms, the maze at the centre of the Allied effort
  • The Map Room, where the German army's movements in Russia were plotted, and the traces are still visible
  • A hidden communications room, made to pass for a toilet

When you come back up, a second audio guide takes over, with a digital map and 15 stops of political London, among them the Houses of Parliament and 10 Downing Street. It is self-guided, so you set the pace and the order.

A host waits in front of the museum on King Charles Street to get you started. There is no live guide, and the headset and mobile device are not included. Some videos play loud bombing and air-raid sirens.
