Description
This Stonehenge and Oxford day trip leaves London early to reach Stonehenge ahead of the crowds, with a skip-the-line ticket already included, along with the visitor centre exhibition and the shuttle bus on site. Around 90 minutes there leave time to look at the stones on Salisbury Plain and to find out how Neolithic farmers raised them.
The afternoon belongs to Oxford, where you have at least two and a half hours. A walk with your guide is part of the tour, if you want it: it takes in the Bodleian Library and the Radcliffe Camera, the Sheldonian Theatre, St Mary's Church and the Bridge of Sighs. The guide also points out the city's literary fame, from Harry Potter to Narnia and Alice in Wonderland, and suggests which colleges are worth stepping into.
- Stonehenge entry and the on-site shuttle
- An air-conditioned mini-coach with 19 seats, so a small group
- Free time in Oxford for the Ashmolean Museum or the Covered Market
Food, drinks and tips are not included. The tour is not suitable for children under 3, and the smaller vehicle is comfortable but more compact than a standard coach.
